The 80's was all about money and being big, everything big and lavish. So I really like the 80's grid pattern used as a background, how "Wall Street" the name of a big 80's movie, being all about money, with it representing todays economy. The use of heart monitor lines here to represent both mountains and the city then doubling as the heart rate, death and fall of the market... well done.
Yea I'm sure it is financial charts going down, not heart monitor readings, but I read it as both, the decline and death of our economy. Honestly though as I first looked at it I saw the death of our economy.
